Self-medication is one of the efforts made by the community to treat the minor illnesses they experience. In implementing self-medication, good knowledge is needed to avoid errors in drug use. One of the minor illnesses that often occurs among people is stomach ulcers.The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between the level of community knowledge in carrying out self-medication for ulcer medication (gastritis) in Padang Ma'bud Village, Bua Ponrang District.The research method is descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach. The sample collection technique used purposive sampling, with the number of samples used being 65 people who met the inclusion criteria. The research instrument uses a questionnaire with Guttman scale answer choices which have been tested as valid.Data analysis used IMB SPSS version 25, statistical analysis in this study used the Chi Square statistical test. The results of the analysis show that the p value obtained is 0.143 > 0.05, which means there is no relationship. So the conclusion of this research is that there is no relationship between the level of community knowledge in carrying out self-medication for ulcer medication (gastritis) in Padang Ma'bud Village, Bua Ponrang District.It is hoped that all people will have good knowledge regarding self-medication so that they can carry out good and correct self-medication and avoid mistakes in using drugs.
